Faith (my little fishy)

I just had to brag on my little girl for a minute. Last summer we never got her signed up for swim lessons. The lady we used to use wasn't doing it last year (eventhough she is doing them again this year), so we never took her anywhere else. At the beginning of last summer she hated just going under water. I told her last year that if she would start going under water by herself then I wouldn't make her take swim lessons. So...of course she started doing it.

This year I was going to sign her up for lessons, but with Girl Scout Camp and everything else that she had been doing I didn't want her to HAVE to do another thing (as least for now). So...we have been swimming more in our pool lately (since the water finally is warming up). The past couple of times she has been swimming underwater, just like a little fish. Then she has been going underwater and having me count, to see how long she can stay under without coming up for a breathe.

Well...today when we were swimming, she was going under and picking up rings off of the bottom of the pool. We had diving sticks already and she had been playing around with those, but they are harder for her to pick up (especially more than one at a time). So, yesterday I had picked up some diving rings, hoping they would be easier for her to get. Today she was going under and picking up anywhere between 3-5 rings at a time. I AM SO PROUD OF HER!!! She had fun doing it to, but she sure was tired when we got in from the pool this afternoon (of course, we were out there swimming for 1 1/2 hours). I was tired when we came in to. BUT, we had fun!
