A Fall Camping Weekend

We spent the weekend at Patoka Lake. The park had their Fall Getaway Weekend, which means time for a little early trick-or-treating. With early trick-or-treating means that costumes have to be done before Halloween. I was making the kids' costumes again this year and I of course didn't start on them early enough. I was literally sewing the arms on Bryce's costume on the way to the campground on Friday. I then spent some time on Saturday finishing costumes up. When we left home on Friday, Faith's costume was competely done. Bryce's costumes still had to have arms sewed on it, his cape made, and his belt made. Cole's hat needed to be made also. Friday night I finished Bryce's costume, except for his cape and belt. Saturday afternoon I finished his cape, made due on a belt (didn't feel like sewing anymore, so I just used several safety pins) and I decided that Cole just wouldn't have his monkey hat/ears yet.

Saturday the kids went fishing, but didn't catch anything. They ended up being more interested in playing with the fishing worms then fishing anyway. They threw some rocks of course too. We played at the playgrounds some and rode bikes too. It was a good weekend, but a little rushed.

Bryce thought it was COLD and he needed his hat and mittens.

Bryce crashing his bike into Faith's bike (that Daddy is riding). It is always fun to see all the crazy dads around the campground (nothing like some quality family fun).
