Camping--Day #3

We got up this morning and it had rained over night (Karl and I were up with the rain last night, because it was also very windy and a lot of lightening). Since it was really wet outside we stayed inside the camper for a little while and played cards/games. We then headed outside and headed to the playgrounds, the petting zoo, and the lake. We stayed busy once again.

The kids got into finding locust today. They were literally coming up out of the ground. Faith found tons of locust shells by a tree at our campsite. So, the kids gathered them all up. Then Faith found a live locust that was coming out of its shell. She was more brave then I was and she picked the thing right up and put it in her bug box. I can handle most bugs, but locust are not a favorite of mine. She picked it up and later in the day it came out of its shell and was ready to fly.

There was also more time for water playing today. The kids played with the water guns for a while. Bryce was not really into the water guns today though, so he kept yelling at Faith to stop squirting him. So, they didn't end up playing with them very long. We ended up going to the Spray park again and Faith and Bryce had fun there. It was much more crowded today though. Cole didn't have as much fun at the spray park today, because he was too tired. He did play for a while though.

We invited my parents and my brother and his family out for dinner. My mom's birthday is today (Happy Birthday, Mom!). So, we just had some hamburgers for dinner tonight.
