Faith's Field Trip Day

Today was Faith's first field trip as a First Grader. I wanted to go with her, but I couldn't go with the boys. So...my Mom decided that she was brave and kept both boys for me, so that I could go with Faith. The bus was to leave at 8:15 and return back to school at 1:30. I took Bryce and Cole to my parents' house before Faith had to be at school. So, I dropped them off at about 7:30 and then Faith and I were off.

The kids all got loaded on the buses and we were off to Mayes Farm.

There was plenty to do: a hayride back to the pumpkin patch, picking a pumpkin out of the field, corn mazes, a straw fort, a slide. There was a lot to do, but the kids were so hot that they did everything quickly and then some got kind of bored (guess that is to be expected though). We ate our sack lunch and then headed back to the school a little early. The kids were glad to be back in the air conditioning (because it was in the 90's today, so it was hot).

I got back to get Bryce and Cole at about 1:30. Bryce was a good boy and Cole slept the whole time, which he never does for me. Mom did give him 2 bottles why I was gone, but he didn't eat much out of either one before he fell back asleep. Sleeping or not, I'm glad that he was a good boy for his first stay away from Mommy.
