Happy Birthday, Bryce

Happy 4th Birthday Bry!

Bryce went back and forth on many themes this year. We started out debating between Buzz Lightyear and Lightening McQueen. We finally decided on Buzz, I figured we could do the Cars theme next year. Then he saw Hot Wheels party supplies. He thought he wanted that then. We finally decided on Buzz though, because I thought we could do cars for many years to come, where as he will soon outgrow Buzz.

So...I had the party all planned and then the weather forcast kept calling for rain. It started out being a 30-40% chance of rain. Then as Saturday grew closer the chance of rain kept getting greater and they were calling for strong storms (with strong winds and hail). I prepared Bryce that it might rain during his party and so we would have to have his party inside if it was raining. All our birthday parties have always been outside, so that is all the he knows. He decided that he wasn't having his party unless it was outside. He told me we would just wait for the rain to stop and then we would go outside. I told him it might rain all day. He told me we would just have to have it the next day. I had to make the decision whether to chance the weather and have it on Saturday or move it until Sunday, when they said the day would be nice. I decided to stick with the original plan and all day I worried about rain. It was cloudy off and on all day. Then about an hour before the party was to start, it got real dark and there was lots of rain heading our way (according to the radar on the computer). What was I to do?? Thankfully, God must have heard my prayers, because by the time the party started it was almost sunny. Bryce told me after the party, "I told you it wouldn't rain at my party". Got caused all that rain headed our way to just go around us. We were SO THANKFUL!!
